Mixed Golf events play an important part of the Club's life and are very well supported by the members. These games are played predominantly during the Spring and Summer months.
Mixed Foursomes Challenge Cup. Partners drawn - a qualifying round is played in April with the eight top pairs going forward into the knock-out stage with the winning pair emerging in September.
Rose Bowl. Partners drawn - played as a St Andrews Greensomes stableford in May
Captains' Cup. Partners drawn - played in June using the novel 6/6/6 format. Holes 1-6 played as Better Ball, holes 7-12 as Greensomes and holes 13-18 as Foursomes.
Bill Watters Quiach. Chose own partner. This event is held in memory of Bill Watters, Captain of the Club in 1993. Played as Foursomes stableford, the golf is followed by presentation of prizes and supper.
Dick Heaver Salvers. Chose own partner. This event is held in memory of Dick Heaver, Captain of the Club 1989. Played as Foursomes stableford, the golf is followed by presentation of prizes and supper.
Married Couples Cup. This is a Mixed Foursomes match play knock-out competition, open to married couples and is known to produce some exciting matches.
Mixed Invitation. The annual Mixed Invitation, played on a Friday in July gives the members an opportunity to invite golfing friends from other golf clubs to a competitive and social event.
Wat-Rich Cup is the annual match between the Ladies'- and Men's sections of the Club.
Club Matches. The Club plays mixed home and away matches against six other Sussex Clubs on an annual basis, namely Copthorne, Holtye, Royal Eastbourne, Seaford Blatchington, Willingdon and Worthing. Some of these matches are played during the week - others at weekends. A convivial supper always follows the golf.
A series of five events, known as "Mixed Foursomes" (formerly "Evening Foursomes") are held mainly on Saturday afternoons from April to October and are very well supported - often by more than 60 players, most of whom attend the Presentation of Prizes and Supper in the evening - non-golfing partners are very welcome to attend the supper
